Diane Louise Villines-Vigil "Bobo" was delivered to God on November 21, 2020 from her home.
Diane was born on January 18, 1972 in Silver City, NM to Dorothy Portillo and Clovie Villines. Her parents
were Dorothy Portillo-Benz and Jon C. Benz of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Diane has one sister, Marie
Jeneane (Villines) Almanzar of Las Cruces, New Mexico. She shared her childhood with her softball
teammates, high school friends, and cousins. While pursuing her college degree, she found and married
her high school sweetheart, Aaron Vigil. Together they raised their children, Ashley Pena and Jonathan
Vigil and in 2009 she received her Bachelor's degree in education. She was an educator with Las Cruces
Public Schools with a focus in special education. Diane later went on to become a professional case
manager/care provider for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Diane is survived by her sister, Marie Jeneane (Villines) Almanzar and her spouse Edward "Uncle
Eddie" Almanzar, Aaron Vigil, her children Ashley D. Pena and Jonathan N. Vigil, and grandson Adam
Colorbio, all of Las Cruces, NM. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Diane was cremated at Getz funeral home on December 10, 2020. She would have wanted to
have her friends around to celebrate her life, so we will be patient and allow the world to heal. When
we can all come together again, we will hold a memorial service in her honor.
