Della I. Pease

Della I. Pease, 91 of Las Cruces, NM died Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born December 8, 1917 in Harper, Oregon to Warren and Irene Schlupe. Della was a member of several different clubs including the Hospitality Club, Various Gardening Clubs, The Progressive Club, and the Big Band Dance Club. She had traveled the world extensively and had won many awards for her gardening and flowers in California and New Mexico State Fairs. Della is survived by her son, Dennis Dodge and wife Nancy of Las Cruces, NM; one brother, LeRoy Schlupe of Apache Junction, Arizona; two sisters, Viola Hentila of Port Orchard, Oregon and Emmaline Hansen of Weiser, Idaho. Also surviving her are two grandchildren, Sandra D. Clark and Kimberly Clark; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Pease; sister, Alma Dunagan; brother, W.B. Benny Schlupe and her first husband, Roy Dodge. At Della's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be at 1 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel.
