Dee Dee Karen Musgrove

Dee Karen Musgrove, 51, of Las Cruces died Saturday December 22, 2007, while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico. She was born in Alamogordo, NM December 23, 1955 to Michael and Amelia Musgrove. Dee Dee lived a large life full of grace and joy and love. Her family and friends describe her as a beautiful woman with a deep sense of spirit, unconditional compassion and acceptance, and devoted love. Her presence was one of harmony and peace. She lit up our lives in a way that no one else could. Dee Dee recently graduated, with honors, from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Social Work, an accomplishment that was a huge source of pride for her and all of those who loved her. She was set to graduate with her MSW in May of 2008. She is survived by her spouse, Andrea Joseph; son, Michael Bailey of Las Cruces; brother, Allen Musgrove and sister-in-law Denise Musgrove of Los Lunas, NM and their three children Amy, Staci, and Amber; cousin, Patsy Meerscheidt and husband Grayson Meerscheidt of Las Cruces, NM and their children James Meerscheidt and Wendy Cole. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Amelia Musgrove. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Dee Karen Musgrove Memorial Fund at the Bank of America. This fund will help social work students of the future. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday December 29, 2007, at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88001.
