Corrine “Corri” Musquiz, 33, passed away Friday March 22, 2024 in Las Cruces NM after an unexpected decline in health.

Corri was born September 28, 1990 on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. She was raised by her parents Lisa and Ruben Ibarra in Houston Tx along with her sister and brother Selina and Alexander. While growing up, Corri also spent time in Ohio with her grandmother Linda and brother Evan. She enjoyed spending her time expressing her artistic and creative side by writing stories, drawing, and painting. She was 17 when she started dating Monty, 4 years later the two were married and inseparable. As Corri and Monty set out for their lives together they went where the Air Force took them, Florida, North Dakota, and eventually New Mexico. Corri quickly adapted to this as both of her parents had been military. Regardless of where she went or how long she was there, Corri made friends with anyone she met. Somehow, she managed to find something in common with everyone and she would build life long friendships upon that. Corri worked many jobs over the years and took pride in every one of them. From working as a waitress to working with children, Corri always had a passion for her work. She eventually began working as a TSA Officer, a job she loved more than the others by far. She once said no matter what happened, she never had a bad day working for TSA. Upon moving to New Mexico she took on a job working at the bowling center on Holloman AFB, soon after starting there she began making friends and loving her work more with every day that passed. She quickly built relationships with her customers as if they had known each other forever. Her bright smile and the joy she radiated will be missed by all who knew her.

Corri is survived by her husband Monty Musquiz of Holloman AFB New Mexico, mother and father Lisa and Ruben Ibarra of Houston Texas, sister and brother Selina Ibarra and Alexander Ibarra of Houston Texas, and brother Evan Inman and his wife Kirstyn of Cincinnati Ohio, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Corri is preceded in death by her grandmothers Linda and Elva as well as Monty’s parents Armando and Joyce along with a number of other family members.

She will always be loved and remembered in the hearts and minds of those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you plant a tree, many of her paintings and artwork were of the outdoors and she was always enjoying her “happy little trees”
