Connie Moss

Moss, Connie Christine, devoted wife, mother and friend died on December 3rd, 2018 at the age of 76. Connie was born in August of 1942 in New York City, the only child of Henry Lucero and Francis Hamill. She moved to Las Cruces, NM at the age of 5 where she attended St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Alameda Elementary, Court Junior High School, Las Cruces High School (1960) and graduated from New Mexico State University (1964 B.A. in Business Education), a proud member of the Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity. She met her husband G. Terry Moss sophomore year and they married April 10th, 1965. Connie worked as a teacher at Gadsden High School from 1967-1972 and as an accountant until the mid-1980's. A charter member of the Fortuna Bonita Investment Club, a proud supporter of Aggie sports, loved attending basketball games and she was a member of the New Mexico State University Presidents Associates and Aggie Sports Association. She loved traveling through the states and throughout Europe, and recounted playing golf in Scotland and Ireland as one of her fondest memories. Herself an avid golfer, Connie was the President of the Ladies Golf Association at Picacho Hills and served on the Picacho Hill's Advisory Board. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren: baking cookies, reading books, teaching them to play golf and watching them grow. She is survived by her husband of 53 years G. Terry Moss, son Steven Christopher Moss (wife Natalie) of Houston Texas, daughter Kimberly Lynn Legant (Husband Andrew Kyle Legant) of Albuquerque New Mexico and by his three grandchildren Owen, Ethan, and Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Lucero and Francis Hamill. Memorial services will be held for Connie at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Las Cruces on December 12th at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held at Picacho Hills Country Club immediately following the ceremony.
