Claudene Lois Wertzberger, born on June 13, 1938, in Joliet, IL, passed away on December 6, 2024, in Las Cruces, NM. She built a fulfilling career as an Assistant Vice President at First National Bank, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.
Claudene leaves behind a large and loving family, including her daughters Deborah Cunningham, Brenda Tegmeyer, and Cheryll Johns, as well as her sons Timothy and Michael Wertzberger. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Richard L. Tegmeyer and James Johns. Claudene was also a proud grandmother to Joseph, Hannah, Casey, Justin, Sarah, Dickie, and great-grandchildren Nathan, Riley, Jhonen, Andalucia, Elyse, Violet, and Elliott.
Surviving Claudene are her sister Marilyn (Jeannie) Rodgers and sister-in-law Sally Kaye Murray, along with niece Nancy Jo Noble and nephew Buster Galloway. Her family will gather to honor her life and share their cherished memories. Services are being planned, and details will be shared soon. Claudene's spirit and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Claudene was preceded in death by: James Wertzberger, James Smith, Edna Krepps, Joe Steven Cunningham, Sandon Tegmeyer.
Services will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at Masonic Cemetery.
