Clara P. Alberson

Clara Pauline Alberson peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Jan. 27, 2011 at La Posada Hospice. Pauline was born May 31, 1927 in Fairacres, NM to Edwin George and Martha Chloe Daniel. She graduated in 1945 from Las Cruces Union High School and enjoyed attending monthly luncheons with her classmates. Pauline was employed by and retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company and was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. Some of her greatest moments were working with Cowboys for Cancer and the Hug-A-Bear Project. She was a founding and faithful member of Hill Baptist Church and longtime member of Fairacres Baptist Church in her younger years, always representing a good and faithful servant. She was a devoted reader of her Bible and loved sharing her faith with friends and family. Pauline touched so many lives through her life with her generosity and compassion for everyone she met. Her faith was constant and she was a pillar of strength for her family and those around her. Family and friends treasure memories of Pauline's Sunday family dinners and beautiful singing voice. She is survived by her husband of 65 years David M. Alberson, children Ed and Talea Alberson, Paul and Betty Alberson, Rick Alberson, Linda and Mark Robertson, Craig and Kathi Alberson, her adopted grandson Joshua Alberson, her siblings Mary and Roy Chitwood, David and Jo Daniel, sister-in-laws Irene Swartz, Corkey Alberson, Jeannie Alberson, Minnie Topliff, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and treasured friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale and adopted granddaughter Amanda Alberson. A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday, Jan.30, 2011 at Getz Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate her life will be at 10 AM also at Getz Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 with Pastor Johnny Roberts officiating.
