Christopher Gene Jaramillo

Christopher Gene Jaramillo, 55, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Mountain View Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Chris was born in Socorro, NM on May 5, 1952 to Tony Jaramillo Sr and Gloria (Bowers) Jaramillo. Chris graduated from the NM Military Institute and went on to provide 20 years of dedicated service as a NM State Police officer. During his colorful career, he was an active member of the dive team, served as the Vice President of the NMSP Association and was assigned to the Governor's Security Detail, however at heart Chris was a narcotics officer. He was instrumental in the establishment of the NM Narcotic Officer's Association, and was currently serving as the associations Executive Director. In retirement, Chris was an active member of the community, undertaking many endeavors including serving as the chief investigator for the 3rd Judicial District Attorney's office and establishing his own business as a prominent lobbyist and consultant. At the time of his death, Chris was looking forward to dedicating his talents to the newly formed Cold Case and Missing Persons unit of the Dona Ana County Sheriff's office.
