Cheryl Kay Steele

Steele Cheryl Kay Steele, 68 of Las Cruces passed away Friday, February 1, 2013. She was born to Eugene and Jewel Barnes in Norman, OK on December 19, 1944. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed spending time with close friends at the salon, collecting Coca-Cola and M&M memorabilia, playing computer card games, and vacationing in Las Vegas with friends. Her warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Larry Steele, sons, Dale and wife Elisabeth of Albuquerque, NM, Henry Steele also of Albuquerque, NM, daughter, Kimberly Barnes of Houston, TX and grandchildren, Annabelle, Kathryn and Evelyn Steele. She is also survived by her brothers, Randy and Jerry Barnes of New Mexico, Warren Barnes of Virginia, Larry Barnes of Colorado and sister, Dana Barnes of Las Cruces, NM. A gathering of family, friends, and those whose life she has touched has been scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 11am - 12pm in the Getz Funeral Home.
