Cecilia Arenas

Cecilia (Chila) Murillo Arenas passed on March 13, 2021. Cecilia was born in Texas on July 15, 1951. She was raised by Matteo and Ofelia Murillo, along with 10 siblings in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She relocated to California where she raised 5 children, Veronica, Jessica, Dora, Erica and Robert. She later moved back to her home town. She spent her free time with family and friends, enjoying yard sales and local thrift stores. Hard working, loving, strong willed, and giving are just a few attributes that made her the amazing woman she was. She had a huge impact on countless lives and hearts. A little feisty woman that what will not be forgotten. Cecilia is survived by her 9 grand children who she cherished and loved deeply. Her church service will be held at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church on Friday, April 23, 2021 beginning at 10:00 am. Arrangements by Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88001.
