Bruce David Allen

Bruce D Allen, passed away at home, on Feb 15, 2025. Bruce was born Nov 13, 1956 in Roswell NM to Walter and Sue Allen. Growing up in Las Cruces, he attend Mayfield High Class of 1974.

Bruce served in the US Air Force, as a Radar Specialist.

He married Aurea in 1977, and in 1979 after honorable discharges from the USAF they returned to Las Cruces, attending NMSU, graduating in 1987 alongside his mother and sister.

He was employed and retired from WSMR and retired as a radar specialist, and served in the position of WSMR Museum Curator for several years.

Bruce was a Mason, as his father and grandfather where before him, an accomplishment he was very proud of.

Bruce’s lifelong passion is history, and the treasures of New Mexico. He was often found searching for those across our state

Bruce is proceeded in death by his parents Walter & Sue Allen, his wife Aurea, Richard Allen (brother), and Matt Goodwin (brother in law).

He survived by his longtime partner Lori Torrez, Sister Suzette Goodwin and nephews, Justin Allen (Denise), Danny Allen (Amber), Britton Goodwin, niece Shay Carrillo (Daniel) Sister in law Kathy, and 3 great nieces.
