Brian K. Lambert

Brian K. Lambert, 64 of Las Cruces, NM died Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1941 in Spokane, Washington to Weldon and Mary Lambert. Brian graduated from Texas Tech in Lubbock in 1967 with a PhD and taught there for 20 years. After leaving Texas Tech he moved to Wichita, Kansas where he taught and was chairman of the Engineering Department at Wichita State University. Brian then moved to Las Cruces in 1993, taught at New Mexico State University and retired in 2002. Brian was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Besides teaching, he assisted in many programs with NASA, Boeing and Apollo Space Missions. Teaching, sharing his knowledge with his students was his love. His students at Texas Tech, Wichita State and NMSU had selected him as favorite instructor several times over. Brian is survived by his wife, Beatriz; one son, Mark C. Lambert and his wife Lisa of Dallas, TX; and one daughter, Kerry Ann Lambert and her husband Sean Tanner of Los Angeles, CA. Also surviving Brian is one sister Barbara L. Roberts and two grandchildren, Taylor Lambert and Annabelle Tanner. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Dean Lambert and Donald Weldon Lambert. A Memorial Service to celebrate Brian's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Frank Zamora. PDF Printable Version
