Betty Hickman

Betty J (Ramsey) Hickman, passed away on June 22, 2024 after a lingering illness. She was 85 years old, almost reaching her goal of 86 years . She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Hickman) Laney, her granddaughters, Emily Hickman and Lyndsey Hickman, and her great grandsons Braydon Harris and Lance Hickman and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She had lived in New Mexico with her oldest daughter for the last 2 years.

She was preceded in death by her father Fred Ramsey, mother Bertha Ramsey, brothers,

James Ramsey, Bobby Ramsey, sisters Willie (Ramsey) Champ, Joyce (Ramsey) Denton,

husband (William) Morris Hickman, her son Darren Hickman, her daughter Jamie (Hickman) Hicks, and her beloved granddaughter Kristen Moody.

She lived most of her life in the community of Piedmont TN in New Market TN. She was a

devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. If strength and determination could keep us alive, she would have lived forever.

We are at peace knowing that she is reunited with all those she lost and missed so dearly.

She was a life long member of Green Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

The date of Receiving of Friends will be announced once all arrangements are made. She will be interred in Piedmont Cemetery beside her husband and son.
