Bette Fern Fancher

Bette Fern Fancher, 86, of Las Cruces, NM passed away on November 26th, 2022. She lived with her daughter and her family and was member of First Baptist Church, Las Cruces NM. Bette was born November 1st, 1936, in Pampa TX, and grew up an only child on the Rocking R Ranch near Skelly Town, TX. She attended Hardin-Simmons University where she met her late husband, Richard Fancher, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She worked for 10 years as Secretary to the Dean at the NMSU Library in Las Cruces, NM. After moving to Hot Springs, AR, she worked for The Area on Aging as a Public Relations Specialist for 25 years. She loved music and always sang in the church choir. She was a wonderful example of a Christian woman who was always wanting to help those around her. Bette was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of all those she met. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Maggie Roles, husband, Richard Fancher, daughter, Kristi Lujan, and daughter-in-law, Susan Fancher. Survivors include her son, Tim Fancher of Augusta, GA, daughter, Cindy Adcock and husband Ken Adcock of Las Cruces, NM, and Son-in-Law, Marc Lujan of Thousand Oaks, CA, grandchildren; Kyle Fancher, Eric Fancher, and wife Christina Fancher, Melissa Montoya and husband Paul Montoya, Shaun Adcock, Christian Lujan and Ashley Lujan, great-grandchildren; Lucas and Thea Montoya, whom she loved dearly. Celebration of life will be held at First Baptist Church on Sonoma Ranch Blvd at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 with Dr. David Burrows officiating.
