Bessie Mae Jones

Bessie Jones, 85, died peacefully November 13, 2017 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born November 19, 1931 in Tucson, Arizona in the small community of Binghamton, AZ to Francis and Florence Stock. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Jones, married 64 years, three of her children Larry D. Jones, Howard Dean Jones and Brent E. Jones. She is survived by her living children, Stanley Ray Jones of Casa Grande, AZ (Julie) , Charlene Hiers of Boston, Mass. (Maury), and Kent E. Jones of Cottonwood, AZ (Carrie). Bessie cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed with 20 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. All who adored her, laughed with her, and loved being with her. Bessie lived in the Las Cruces area with her family for 54 years. She has many close friends and associates that loved her and cared deeply for her. She was a graduate of Mayfield High School in 1970 after raising 6 children and completed a LPN degree in Nursing from NMSU 1973. Bessie was an active and faithful member of the Picacho Hills Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints here in Las Cruces. She was a lifetime member of the LDS church being raised by her parents in the small Mormon community of Binghamton, AZ. A memorial service is scheduled in honor of Bessie, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Idaho Chapel, at 2915 E. Idaho Ave, Las Cruces, New Mexico. All are welcome to attend and help us celebrate her beautiful life.
