Bertha Espinoza

The Lord called Bertha E. Espinoza (88) home on November 26, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Bertha was born to Alberto and Epimenia Enriquez on June 7, 1934, in La Mesa, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jose Eduardo "Eddie" Espinoza (Annelise), her brother Roberto F. Enriquez, her sister Josefina Morales. Those left to grieve her are Mary Alice E. Espinoza of the family home; her daughter Yvonne Sedga (Jim) of Ohio, son Gabriel E. Espinoza (Virginia) of Las Cruces, grandchildren Valerie Anne, Melissa Alexandria, Gabriel and Robert Anthony (Mother, Dulemia); great grandchildren (Heaven, Michael Antonio); great-great grandchildren (Raven and Collin); sister Alvina E. Medrano, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She belonged to El Sagrado Corazon of the San Jose Parish in La Mesa, NM., where she was a lifelong parishioner. Viewing, Rosary, and Funeral services for Bertha will be held on December 6, 2022, at the San Jose Catholic Church in La Mesa at 9:30-12:00, with burial following mass in the San Jose Cemetery. Father Carlos Espinoza will be officiating. Getz will broadcast services on their Facebook page. There will be no reception afterwards. Pallbearers include Gabriel Espinoza, Joe Valenzuela, Valerie Anne Espinoza, Gabriel E. Espinoza III, Robert Anthony Espinoza, and Michael Antonio Espinoza. Very special heartfelt thanks are sent out to Ambercare Home Hospice and the faculty that attended to Bertha's needs. I thank God you all were part of the village it took to care for our beloved family member. There are no words to express our sincere gratitude.
