Bernice Belifore

Bernice Belifore, 88, of Las Cruces resident since 1988 died Monday, June 14, 2010. She was born Jan. 3, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio to Fiore and Aurora Silvestri Del Cioppo. Bernice was a retired Billing Clerk after many years of faithful service in a Glen Cove, NY hospital. She enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, playing cards and was a member of the Does where she worked in the casino at the Elks Lodge, but her passion was for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by two daughters Carla Del Ferraro and husband John of Las Cruces and Diane Cappelli and husband John of Del Ray Beach, FL; a sister Mary Vespa of New Jersey; grandchildren Craig and wife Melissa, Stephanie and husband Paul, Robert and wife Heather and Lindsay; great-grandchildren Chase, Brandon, Trevon, Ryan and Cassidy. Also surviving her are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband Vincent, daughter Marguerite and sisters Dolores and Erminia. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be at 10 am on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Msgr. John Anderson officiating. Rite of Committal for her cremains will be placed in the St. Francis Columbarium following mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice. PDF Printable Version
