Arsenia L. Navarro

Arsenia L. "Archie" Navarro, 74, of Las Cruces, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008. She was born April 1, 1934 in Capitan, NM to Antonio and Paula Fresquez Lueras. She had been a Nursing Assistant with the Alamogordo Public School after many years of faithful service. Arsenia had been a member of Immaculate Concepcion Catholic Church in Alamogordo and was active with the Altar Society, most recently she was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral her in Las Cruces. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Joe Navarro of the family home; sons Joseph Michael Navarro of Roswell, NM, Arthur Navarro and wife Loretta of Albuquerque, NM, Armando Navarro and wife Stephanie of La Fayette, LA and Rudy Navarro and wife Terry of Las Cruces; daughter Alicia Woodard and husband Dean of Cabin John, MD; brothers Tony Lueras and wife Julie of Albuquerque, NM and Raynond Lueras and wife Rosa of Carrizozo, NM; sisters Juanita Vallejos and husband Neo of Carrizozo, NM, Estella Duquette and Geneva Gohres both of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving her are 11 grandchildren Matthew, Katherine, Patrick, Adam, Angelo, Stephan, Gabriel, Aaron, Adrianna, Annaliesa and Madison, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Arsenia was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Orlando Perea and Joe Lueras. A rosary and mass to celebrate her will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008 at Santa Rita Catholic Church in Carrizozo, NM with Fr. Franklin officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at the Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery also in Carrizozo. Pallbearers will be members of Arsenia's family. PDF Printable Version
