On Friday, December 4, 2015 Antonio Francisco Legarreta, 22 years old, went to be with the Lord. He was born to Martha Banegas Legarreta and Richard Legarreta on April 24, 1993. Antonio was blessed to have four sisters Angelina Olivera (Tony), Christine Gamboa (Edward), Bonnie Rivera (deceased) (Dario), and Debbie Legarreta. He also had four brothers, Richard Legarreta Jr., Angelo Legarreta (deceased), Alanzo Legarreta (Jasmine), and Arlando Legarreta. Antonio was an inspiration to so many. His challenges were many due to his illness, Muscular Dystrophy. He faced each one with the faith he put in God. We praise the Lord he suffers no more. Antonio had great faith and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ. Antonio was extremely fond of his nephews and nieces; Zade Angelo, Avery, Ezekiel Legarreta, Jaiden Carrion, Ryu, and Michael Olivera, and Mia Legarreta. Uncle ‘Tono' as they lovingly called him would listen with love and concern to their stories. He would play video games and watch movies with them. He loved to buy them presents. Services for Antonio are Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Getz Funeral Home 1410 E. Bowman from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. It will be a celebration of his life and going to Heaven. On Friday, December 11, 2015 the church service is at First Baptist Church, 1065 Miranda at 10:00 a.m. followed by his burial at Hillcrest Cemetery. Antonio was very proud of his grandfather, Lorenzo Y. Banegas, who was a Bataan Death March Survivor. "Praise the Lord he suffers no more." Arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces NM 88001. To sign the online guest book visit www.GetzCares.com PDF Printable Version
