Anna Yvonne Richardson

Anna Yvonne Richardson, aged 91, passed away on March 27, 2025, in Las Cruces, NM. She was born on August 6, 1933, in Las Cruces, NM to Rollo Thomas Place and Edith Vesta Berrier. Anna was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and actively participated in the Chapel Bells Handbell Choir for many years. As a loving homemaker, she cared for her children during their early years.

Anna was renowned for her exceptional skills as a seamstress, assisting numerous brides in creating their dream wedding gowns and bridesmaids attire. Additionally, she achieved success as a Mary Kay Cosmetics Consultant. Later in life, she, along with two of her children, started Hedgehogs Landscape Maintenance. She enjoyed meeting with customers in their yards and aiding them in designing their ideal landscape.

She is survived by her son Randy Richardson; her son Bill Richardson and his wife Karen; her daughter Vicki Barrett and her husband Scot; her grandson Dustin Richardson; and her granddaughter Dani Coogler and her husband Dylan, all of Las Cruces. Anna is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack A. Richardson.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Getz Funeral Home, located at 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, NM. The guest book can be signed at www.getzfuneralhome.com.
