Alejandro P. Borrego 10/27/1919 - 5/2/2018 During the afternoon of May 2, 2018 our Lord Jesus Christ visited his brother, Alejandro P. Borrego and joined him into the Gates of Heaven. Alejandro P. Borrego was born on October 27, 1919 to Jose Maria Borrego and Lucinda Pena Borrego. Alejandro was member of the Catholic Church. He was a World War II Veterans where he served honorably in the U.S. Army. Alejandro will be honored with a Veterans Funeral with all rights. Alejandro is survived by nephew Richard Borrego and wife Sonia Borrego and family of Las Cruces, family members Teofilo E. Tapia, Jose Tapia and family, and also by many nephews, nieces and other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Lucinda Borrego. Visitation for Alejandro will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 9, 2018, with the Service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. The United States Marine Corps League, of Las Cruces will render the Last Military Honors. Serving as Pallbearers are Teofilo Tapia, Jose Tapia, Martin Tapia, Frank Tapia, Peter Tapia, and Lawrence Montes. Arrangements are with Getz Funeral Home 1410 E. Bowman Ave., Las Cruces NM 88001.
