Aldon Louis Pierce, Jr. Date of Birth: December 21, 1934 Date of Passing: January 16, 2018 Al Pierce was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Aldon Louis Pierce and Harriet Cox Pierce. Al was a graduate of the University of Kansas (B.A.) and the American Institute of Foreign Trade in Phoenix, Arizona (M.A.). He was a member of the United States Air Force Reserves, training in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1960 he married Carmen Salcido Pierce of El Paso, Texas. In 1973 Al founded Coronado Finance, Inc., in Las Cruces, NM, which is still run by his family today. Al is survived by his wife, Carmen, of 57 years; his son, Aaron Louis Pierce, and wife Diane L. Pierce; son Carson Joseph ("C.J.") Pierce and wife Mary K. (Katie) Pierce; daughter Maria Pierce Anketell and husband David T. Anketell. Al had seven grandchildren, Jay Wolfgang Anketell, Nina Mercedes Anketell, Allie Katherine Pierce, Adam Louis Pierce, Noah James Pierce, Rebecca Juliette Pierce, and Sophie Rae Pierce. Al is also survived by his sister Beverly Pierce Carson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his sister, Ann Pierce Nunley of Lawrence, Kansas, nephew Pierce Nunley of Shreveport, Louisiana, niece Harriet Young and nephew Tommy Carson both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Al also had numerous great-nieces and great-nephews in El Paso, TX. Visitation will be held at 9 am, Friday, January 19, 2018 with a Funeral Service at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Las Cruces, located at 106 S. Miranda, Las Cruces, NM; followed by Interment Service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, at 5140 W. Picacho Avenue, Las Cruces, NM. First Visitation
