Aldo Bacallao

Aldo Bacallao, 85 of Las Cruces, NM died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 30, 1923 in Moron, Camaguey, Cuba to Manuel and Rosa Bacallao. He was a resident of Las Cruces for the last 30 years coming from Cuba and was a retired nurse from Memorial Medical Center. He was also a member of The Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Georgina of Las Cruces; one son Aldo Bacallao Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Anna Isabel Coba of Tipton, Michigan, and Rose Lopez of Las Cruces, NM. Two brothers, Raul Bacallao of Florida and Hector Bacallao of Washington, DC. Also surviving Aldo are his 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services for Aldo will be held at 10 am on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Getz Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor David Vistine and Pastor Cesar Tellez. PDF Printable Version
