Albian P Nunez

July 28, 1934 — April 23, 2011

Albian Prieto Nunez entered eternal life with our Heavenly Father on April 23, 2011. He was born in Ruidosa , Texas on the 28th of July, 1934 to Angelita and Jose Nunez. He served in the United States Army in 1956. He was an ambitious, self motivated and successful entrepreneur. He worked for Tom Carr's garage for thirteen years and in 1970 he opened up Al's Garage and had twenty-seven successful years of business. He retired in 1997 and enjoyed his retirement years traveling and spending time with his family. He married Ameila Sierra in 1958. In 2009 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He survived by his loving wife Ameila and his children Edmund Nunez and wife Robin of Fort Worth, Texas; Bertha Nunez-Benavidez and husband Bobby of Las Cruces; Michael Nunez and wife Annette of Las Cruces; Javier Nunez and wife Sandra of Albuquerque and grandchildren Alexander Nunez, Brendan Nunez, Alyssa Nunez, Kaitlyn Nunez, Benjamin Nunez, David Nunez, Christopher Benavidez, Chloe Benavidez and numerous nieces and nephews. His surviving brothers and sisters are Virginia Sauceda, Senaida (Sadie) Goldman, Joe Nunez, Raul Nunez, Edwardo (Eddie) Nunez, Reyes (Ray) Nunez, Oscar Nunez, and Delia Thompson. He preceded in death by his son Albian Nunez, Jr., his sister Maria Gloria (Mary) Jaime, his brother Reymundo Nunez and his parents Angelita and Jose Nunez. Visitation will be on the 28th of April at 9:30 a.m. and a rosary will follow, ending with a memorial service all to be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral with Father Sean M. Garrity officiating. Burial of his cremation remains will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas at 2:00 p.m. PDF Printable Version
