After a 5-month courageous battle with Leukemia, Aiden Raymond Cooper passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2025 in Rochester, Minnesota at the Mayo Clinic. He was at the tender age of 16.

Aiden was born on July 7, 2008 in Las Cruces, NM. A junior at Organ Mountain High School, Aiden received several academic awards and often was recognized by faculty. Aiden had a real interest in science, with physics being his favorite class. He spoke about this with the doctors that were treating him at the Mayo Clinic and recognized the role science played in the treatments he was receiving. His doctors commented that he had an impressive understanding of his disease state and the treatments that they were using and looked forward to getting his questions daily in rounds. Aiden was not all business though, the doctors also noted that they looked forward to sharing a daily joke with Aiden during rounds as well.

Aiden enjoyed playing video games, swimming, building Legos, watching marvel movies, and going to the park with his friends. Aiden selected a vacation destination yearly and would experience travel and adventure alongside his mother, Ari. His journey on this Earth is one marked with love, experiences, and compassion. Although Aiden was a bit bashful and introverted, he did touch the lives of many with his sense of humor. His passing has left a void in the hearts of family and friends. We ask that Aiden not be remembered for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived and the profound impact he had on those who had the opportunity to know him.

Aiden is survived by his mother, Ariane Cook, uncle, John Samuel (Sam) Cook, uncle and aunt David and Katherine Piper, uncle and aunt Caleb and Erica Cooper, cousins William Piper, Elizabeth Piper, Izabella Cooper, and Caleb Titus Cooper, grandfather Clarence Raymond Cook, grandfather Kenneth Cooper, and father. Aiden also was survived by extended family, step families, half siblings, and friends he considered family.

Services will be held at University Community Church on March 22, 2025 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request a contribution in Aiden’s name to the charity “Eagles Treasures in Heaven” who provided assistance and support to his mother the past 5 months or a monetary donation to assist his mother with medical bills.
