Agripina Escalante Misquez

Agripina Escalante Misquez (SuMama) 88, of Las Cruces NM passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. She was born on June 23,1929 in San Marcos, Texas to Encarnacion and Florencia Escalante. She was married to Pablo Misquez on December 14, 1946, until he passed away on November 11, 1988. For her small stature, she was a mighty force. As a young woman she was a loving daughter who believed in family. Her dedication to family was evident when she helped raise her siblings, nieces and nephews. Agripina and Pablo continued to help any family members in need even after having children of their own. Her hardworking nature continued when she helped raise her grandchildren. Her grandchildren called he SuMama, SuMama was always there from school functions to practices and games. Everywhere we would go kids would say hi SuMama and give her a hug. Her presence was felt by all. Her love wasn't always tender but it always deep and true. She lived the life of God and her actions were always for others. She is survived by her son Fred Misquez and wife Irene, Daughter Norma Kane and partner Raul Dominguez. Grandchildren Yvonne Misquez, Christine Misquez, Mike Bombach and spouse RusAne, Jaime Bombach, Cathy Misquez, Rick Ebling, Pablo Kane, Freddy Misquez, and Marissa Cordero and Spouse Javier. Great Grandchildren Meagen Bombach, Kailyn Bombach, Rick Ebling III, Jaime Bombach, James Ebling, Bella Bombach, AJ Bombach, Jacob Misquez, Jayden Ebling, Levi Ebling, and Cameron Misquez. Michael Portillo, Amber Portillo, Clarissa Portillo, Sammy Saenz, Sabrina Saenz, Naomi Saenz, Zeke Acosta, Adrianna Cordero, along with many nieces and nephews. Also surviving her are her siblings Donald Escalante, Mere Mendoza, Esther Anaya, Lupe Gabaldon, Robert Escalante, and Yolanda Escalante. Agripina is preceded in death by her siblings, Juan Escalante, Jose Escalante, Lucia Escalante, Chris Escalante. The world will be missing a great person! Your presence will always be felt in this family and your absence will forever plague each one of us. However knowing you are in heaven will give us comfort. The Funeral Rosary and Mass is scheduled for Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:00AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Rite of Committal to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
