Robert W. Orgler, 84, of Las Cruces, died Thursday, April 12, 2012. He was born May 7, 1927 in Chicago, ILL., to Andrew and Freida Orgler. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served our country honorably during WW II. Robert had been a retired Executive President with Direct Mail and was a faithful member of Our Lady of Health Catholic Church where he gave freely of his time whenever needed and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Riverside, ILL. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in the garden, cooking, was an avid reader and very active in Pro-Life Politics but his passion was for his family. Mr. Orgler will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Anne Orgler of the family home; son Thomas Orgler and wife Sharon of Riverside, ILL; daughters Jeanne Hejtmanek and husband Mike of Las Cruces, Mary Hejtmanek of Scottsdale, AZ, Margaret Zimmerman and husband Dan of Phoenix, AZ and AnneMarie Vrchota and husband Greg of Oswego, ILL. Also surviving him are 12 grand and 3 great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his 8 brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Getz Funeral Home where a prayer vigil will follow at 7:30 pm. A funeral mass to celebrate his life is at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church with the Augustinian Recollects officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sowing the Faith at Our lady of Health Catholic Church.
