Regina Lynn Hollars, age 57, passed away unexpectedly Thursday June 2, 2016 in Las Cruces, NM due to a severe asthma attack. She left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled. Her big bright smile and bubbly personality made an instant friend with everybody she met. She loved and lived life to its fullest. She was born in Stuebenville, Ohio June 25, 1958 to Andy and Francis (Dasta) Muni. She was the oldest of three girls. She and her family moved to El Paso, TX in 1970 where she graduated from Burgess High School in 1976 and then business school. Gina met her future husband, Doug Hollars in 1979 and they have been together since. Gina and her family moved to Las Cruces in 1994. She worked at Sears, dabbled in real estate, and finally realized one of her life long ambitions when she owned and operated and cooked at Ono Grindz restaurant (later known as Gina's Cantina) in downtown Las Cruces. She most recently worked at Natural grocers where she was the Head Cashier. This tied in perfectly to her healthy lifestyle. She enjoyed all outdoor activities but mostly she enjoyed her family. She is survived by her husband Doug, son Dale, daughter Leah, mother Fran, sisters Pat and Sharon, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She touched so many people in this world and will be deeply missed by all of them. A celebration of her life and her 58th birthday will be held Saturday June 25 2016 10:00 am at the northeast corner of Apodaca Park in Las Cruces. PDF Printable Version
