Mr. O.E. "Bud" Cunningham, 86, of Monroe, LA formerly of Las Cruces, New Mexico was born July 31, 1924 in Quinter, Kansas, and passed away peacefully February 1, 2011 in Monroe, LA. Bud was a veteran of World War II. Bud enjoyed many hours at Big Daddy Flea Market and Auctioning. Bud's survivors are his wife of 63 years, Faye Cunningham of Monroe, LA; daughters, Eugena Botschen and her husband Chuck of Houston, Texas, Sherrie McKenzie and her husband Bo of Monroe, LA; sons, Steve Cunningham and his wife Karen of Las Cruces, New Mexico, John Cunningham Sr. and his wife Linda of West Monroe, LA; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Ben Cunningham and his wife Karen of Spicewood, Texas, Ray Cunningham and his wife Donna of Lenexa, Kansas; sisters, Mildred Berry of Washington, N.J., Betty Jean Behren and her husband Monroe, of LeGrange, Texas; brother-in-law, James Lewis, Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hester Cunningham and grandson, Sean Cunningham; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at The Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
