Magnolia "Gayle" Weeks 81, of Las Cruces, NM died Sunday August 9, 2009. She was born on October 30, 1927 in Henderson, North Carolina to George and Elizabeth Evans. Gayle enjoyed sewing and working in the yard, there is no doubt she always had the best yard on the block. She was a caring person and her family knew when any of them were sick Gayle new the home remedies to fix any illness. She was dedicated to her faith and enjoyed reading her bible and faithfully attended Thursday Noon worship service at St Andrew's Episcopal Church. She also was a member of the Daughter's of the King and served as an Alter Guild. Gayle gave of herself many hours and years at St Andrew's Soup Kitchen bringing a ray of light to the lives of less fortunate. She is survived by her three daughters Alexandria W. Bright and husband Keith of Albuquerque, NM, Stephanie D. Williams and husband Leo and Joyce Marie Weeks all of Las Cruces; brother Pete Evans and wife Christina of Lumberton, NC and by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her loving husband William Alexander Weeks, her parents, two sisters, one brother and granddaughter Terisa Weeks preceded Gayle. Memorial Services to celebrate her life will be at 10 AM on Friday August 14, 2009 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with Fr. Scott Ruthven officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Columbarium in Kendrick Chapel at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. PDF Printable Version
