Lawrence I. Henderson

Lawrence I. Henderson, 88, entered eternal life Friday, October 28, 2016 in Tucson, AZ. He was proceeded in death by his parents Fate and Bercie Henderson, his wife Mariel Henderson, his sisters Carolyn Ann Insign, Barbara Jean Lane, and Dorothy Jean Henderson. He served in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during World War II and Korea. He retired from U.S. Civil Service. Although he was born in Decatur, Illinois, Lawrence loved Las Cruces, NM and loved talking to people about Jesus! He is survived by his sisters, Pearl Mae Crawford, Mary Katheron Burton, Betty Darlene Franklin, Juanita Emaline Roy, Margaret Louise Lane, and his brother, Rev. Charles Edward Henderson. A Celebration of Life Service will be at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 East Bowman Avenue on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to take place at the Masonic Cemetery, 760 South Compress Road, in Las Cruces after the services.
