Jesus M Sanchez; known to has family as Chuy and to friends as Jesse.

Chuy passed away on the early hours of January 11, 2024 at the age of 73.

He was born on June 16, 1950 in Mesilla, NM.

Chuy grew up in Chiva Town in Las Cruces, NM and move to California as a teenager he graduated from Willow Glen High School in San Jose, California, where he met his beloved wife of 53 years, Anita (Annie) Herrera, they married and lived in San Jose, California and raised three children Eric, Lorraine and Shawn Sanchez, they returned to Las Cruces in 1996, where he worked as a warehouse Manager and later retired.

Chuy enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, watching football, watching hockey or any sports with his grandson Thompson. He enjoyed grilling delicious meals for his family. He was known for his love and knowledge of classic rock music and loved to introduce any one to his favorite music, including Eric Clapton.

Jesus is proceeded in death by his parents Raul (Bufalo) Sanchez and Florencia (Lencha) Sanchez and his brother Raymundo (Mundo) Sanchez. Jesus is survived by his wife Annie Sanchez, Children and grandchildren, Eric Sanchez, (Zack S. Erick N. Mendoza, Marayna and Janel) Shawn Sanchez (Semilla F., Tatyana, A.J, and Nikolas) and Lorraine Sanchez (Thompson P., Arriana G., Miranda G., Chris G.) His siblings Gilbert Sanchez, Estella Bustamante, Alicia Montoya, Richard Sanchez, Gracie Estrada, and Dolores Varela as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jesus will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Getz Funeral Home on Friday January 26th. Viewing to begin at 10:00am. Rosary and Mass will follow at 11:00am.
