Jerome F. Kern, 63 of San Bruno, California died Friday, June 17, 2005 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was born March 1, 1942 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Ernest and Edna Kern. Jerome had served in the United State Air Force from 1961 to 1972 being discharged as a Staff Sergeant. He received his degree in Applied Arts from Pima College in 1972 in Tucson Arizona. He then worked for Kinder Morgan in San Francisco, CA as a night engineer and retired after 30 years. Jerome was a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and was a lifetime member of The Single Action Shooting Society as a Glorietta Trooper. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His mother Edna Kern of Williamsburg, NM; one son Mark Kern and his wife Vicki of Tustin, CA; one daughter Michelle Ward and her husband James of Jacksonville, NC; one brother Raymond Kern and his wife Claire of Wisconsin; and one sister Janet Kern of Las Cruces, NM survive Jerome. Also surviving Jerome are four grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Kern and a brother Dwight Kern.
