Christopher Robert Sanchez

Our beloved Christopher Robert Sanchez, 36 of Las Cruces, New Mexico was called up by Our Heavenly Father on May 18, 2019. He was born April 11, 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Las Cruces New Mexico. Christopher graduated from Onate High School and joined the United States Air Force. He went back to school, received his associate degree from Doa Ana Community College and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he worked at the VA Hospital. Chris loved playing soccer and music. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend and loved by many. Chris had the most contagious smile and laugh; his warm and loving heart will be greatly missed. He is survived by his mother Sue Rice, father Robert Sanchez and Stepmom Tanya Y. Sanchez, his biological sister Sarah Robbins, stepsisters Melody Rivera, Michelle Serna, and Marie Serna his grandmothers Cecilia Sanchez and Hope Rice also many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by grandfathers Horace Rice and Pedro "Pete" Sanchez. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E.
