Michael D Cook died at home unexpectedly on August 23, 2023. Michael was born in Grand Rapids Michigan, son to Lyle and Florence Cook. He is survived by his wife Monica Cook whom he shared 24 years of marriage with. Michaels immediate family included his brothers Gary Cook, Patrick Cook and Steven Cook. Michael was also survived by his children; Sabrina Cook, Michelle Cook, Kelley Cook, Stepson Toryn Green and his grandchildren Michael Cook, Elizabeth Cook and Tristan Celio.
Michael retired from Aerojet in 2019 after 22 years of working as a skilled mechanic. He and his wife Monica were moving to Michigan this summer. Michael lived in several states throughout his life, including Alaska. He spent several years crab fishing in the Aleutian Islands and later met his wife Monica there before moving back to Sacramento California, where they lived together for the next twenty-three years.
Michael was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. We are all looking forward to seeing him again, in heaven alongside grandma Flossy.
