On Sunday, July 10th, 2022, Rosalia Smith took her final breaths peacefully and went to be with her Lord at the age of 67 in Albuquerque NM. Rosalie was born on March 24, 1955, in Las Cruces, NM to Jose and Eulalia Perez.
Rosa and Rose as she was called by family and friends was so loved by all who crossed her path. When she was younger, she was fearless and lived by her own rules, that was who we called Rosa. Her spirit and smile were contagious and a little mischievous. But then she became Rose, had some children, grandchildren and gave her life to God and she turned it all around. They became her life and what she lived for.
Her spirit, her heart and love were given to all who she touched no matter who it was. She was the light and soul to everyone’s life. She was loving and caring. She enjoyed being with loved ones and always wanting to be on the go. She had a lot of hardships and sicknesses throughout her youthful 67 years of life but nonetheless she was so full of life, happy and never let it stop her! She was everything to a lot of us. But most importantly she was a fighter.
Rosalia is preceded in death by her father Jose Perez, her mother Eulalia Perez, her sister Angela P. Green, her nephew Shepherd Green, III and her nephew Larry Smith.
Rosalia is survived by her five children, Iyesha Russell, Lakammi Coleman, Jarvaughn Coleman, Curtis Coleman and Leondro Perez, her twelve grandchildren, Michael Bryant, Leah Russell, Raychael Russell, Fernando Molina, KeyAnna Molina, Isaiah Molina, Destiny Crouch, Preston Crouch, IV, Jada Crouch, Blessing Crouch, Elijah Coleman, Jeremiah Coleman, her two great-grandchildren Esaias Molina, Zahara Dunn-Russell, her six sisters, Lydia Perez, Alice Holguin, Lucy Perez, Josie Perez, Otilia Perez, Catalina Smith, her four brothers, Basilio Perez, Raymond Perez, Joe Perez, Jesse Perez, and a lot of nieces, and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Getz Funeral Home, 1410 E. Bowman Avenue, Las Cruces, NM 88001
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 am at Las Cruces First Assembly of God, 5605 Bataan Memorial West, Las Cruces, NM 88012
