It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father, papo, brother, uncle and friend.
Mario P. Gonzalez (Papo) age 70 passed away on December 23, 2020. He was born in El Coyote, Coahuila Mexico to Epifanio and Maria DeJesus Gonzalez on April 30, 1950. He as one of 7 siblings, Guadalupe, Rosario, Josefina, Juan, Felipe, and Maria.
He was married to the love of his life Rosa Delia Gonzalez for 50 years. He is survived by 5 children Beatriz Ramirez (Eduardo), Mario J. Gonzalez (Raquel), Elsa Escobedo (Fernando), Lizzette Gonzalez (Javier), and Ignacio Gonzalez (Crystal). Twenty-one grandchildren Valerie, George, Anahi, Vanessa, Alejandra, Mario, Angelica, Louie, Sophia, Jocelyn, Brisa, Mario, Celeste, Leo, Nick, Tiana, Ignacio, Briana, Jovan, Destiny, and Jesse. Fourteen great grandchildren Ximena, Chloe, Illiana, Naleya, Jaylah, Izaak, Aubreigh, Frankie, Joseph, Lil Man, Leylah, Johnny, Julian, his beautiful baby Mavis and many nieces and nephews.
Mario was a head mechanic for NMSU Golf Course for 26 years, where he had numerous friends and co-workers. After retirement he spent his time gardening and riding his golf carts with his babies. He enjoyed listening to loud music and dancing with his little ones. He loved spending time with them at the zoo.
He is preceded in his death by his mother Maria DeJesus Gonzalez, his father Epifanio Gonzalez and a brother in law who he raised like a son, Miguel Rojero.

Upon our father’s request, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
