Obituary for Juaquin Clark

Juaquin Clark
Juaquin Marrujo Clark…
peacefully departed from this world May 18th, 2020 as beloved member of his family. He was brought into the world November 5, 1935 by Thomas and Isidra Clark who raised him and his nine siblings in Rincon, New Mexico. He will be remembered for his quiet humor, his deep connection with nature, and his unshakeable faith. With a generous and gentle heart, he answered the calls of family and strangers alike, and now has answered God’s call home.
Juaquin, also fondly known as “Jake” by close family, was a lifelong resident of southern New Mexico. Although retired, he took great pride in his work as a local landscaper and served in the U.S. Army in the area of communications. Holding true to strong Catholic family values, he is and will continue to be loved and revered as a faith-filled, highly committed, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and more. He always made time to listen, pray and share special moments with his family.
He is survived by his wife Guadalupe Clark with whom he was married for over 58 years; three children: Leo and wife Juana, Jackie, and Mary Jane and significant other Jorge; five grandchildren: Leo Jr. and wife Alexia, Randy, Rhonda, Leihani and husband Chris Sedillo, and Therese; and, three great-grandchildren Leo Alexander, Alexybel, and Aaliyah. He is survived by his siblings Gloria DeLeon, Paula Gonzalez, Lucy and Joe; and, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members
He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Isidra Clark; and his siblings Thomas, Richard, Ernestina Gonzales, Guillermo “Willie”, and Eliza “Licha” Garcia
We hope to continue his legacy by following his pearls of wisdom:
“Hay que aceptar todo lo que nos venga, y lo que Dios nos da”
“We need to accept everything that comes our way,
and what God ordains.”
The immediate family wishes to graciously thank family and friends for the continued prayers, well wishes, love and support.
Services to be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at 1240 S. Espina, Las Cruces, New Mexico on Friday, May 22nd during the following times:
Viewing: 9:30 a.m.
Rosary: 10:30 a.m.
Mass: 11:00 a.m.
