Alfredo Ramirez Chavez entered eternal life at his home on January 28, 2023, in Las Cruces, NM. He was born on July 25, 1947, in La Mesa, New Mexico to Angel and Jesusita Chavez. Alfredo was retired and lived with his son Joseph Chavez, his wife Lorelei, and their children. He was a disabled Vietnam War era veteran. He enjoyed reading his Bible and watching TV with his family, especially Jeopardy and Chopped. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel Francis Chavez, of Las Cruces, NM, and his sister, Elvira Adams, of El Paso, TX.
Those left to mourn his passing include his three sons: Alfred Paul Chavez and wife Lina, Richard Chavez and wife Heather, and Joseph Angel Chavez and wife Lorelei; his grandchildren: Andrew Valadez and wife Jessica, Curtis Hobby and wife Anastasia, Victoria Terrazas Chavez and husband Eric, Allison Harris and husband Charles, Mackenzie Chavez, Emily Chavez, Landon Chavez, Joseph Chavez, Jacob Chavez, and Justice Chavez. Other survivors include several great-grandchildren, cousins, and extended family.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:00am in the Getz Funeral Home Chapel, 1410 E. Bowman Ave, Las Cruces, New Mexico, 88001. Cremation will take place at a later date.
